European Network on Finance and Development (ENOFAD)
Up one levelThe European Network on Finance and Development (ENOFAD) is the successor of the European Network for a Currency Transactins Tax (ECTTN). David Hillman writes (in his "Notes of ECTTN teleconference on 18 February 2008"): "The item was raised because when we are authoring documents that are being disseminated at the UN, the European CTT network is too narrow a name in just referring to the CTT. As well, this factor limits participation in our network. Everyone agreed that it was right to modernise the name. After discussion of possible names the 'European Network on Finance and Development' was agreed, with the possibility of a strapline to accompany
it. [...]
The proposal is, therefore, to rename the 'European Currency Transaction Tax Network' as the 'European Network on Finance and Development'. This name would be used on documents such as the joint statements being disseminated at the UN and we would alter the name of our list accordingly."
