Global Campaign
Up one levelThe CTT campaigns took a step forward at World Social Forum V in Porto Alegre (January 2005), where Liberdade Brazil and other organisations arranged the "Otro Sistema Financiero"-events. The ca 70 participants in the seminar "CTT A Necessity Against Neoliberalism", arranged by Attac Italy, NIGD and Attac Japan, reached a basic consensus an launching a global campaign for CTT. They saw
this campaign as part of a bigger campaign for systemic reform to reduce inequality, increase sustainability and democratise the world order. The CTT could be the first step in reforming the international financial system. The participants also decided to join and use this website.
