About this site
This website came about as a result of discussions at the European Social Forum in London (November 2004), and was launched
in connection with the seminar on "The Currency Transactions tax - A Necessity Against Neoliberalism" at the World Social Forum, Porto Alegre 28 january 2005.
The internet-domain www.cttcampaigns.info is owned by The Network Institute for Global Democratization (NIGD)
The CTTCampaigns Info Team works with the content of the site and functions as its editorial board. Presently, the team consists of NIGD-members Mikael Böök, Katarina Sehm Patomäki and Ruby van der Wekken, who are living in Finland, and Yoko Akimoto from ATTAC Japan. We hope to enlarge the team with CTT campaigners from, for instance, Latin America, Africa and India!
We are also planning to establish an International Cooperative Society of www.cttcampaigns.info in which each member - organisation or individual - would own one share.
